Receipt Lane / Email collection

Email forwarding without changing your everyday inbox — planned

Concept still life of an envelope and a loose receipt gathered into a tray.
Concept illustration — planned workflow.

Send only the receipt emails you choose to a dedicated address. That address is coming soon, and it will not scan Gmail or Outlook.

The problem

Receipts already arrive as mail: a software renewal, a flight confirmation, a supplier invoice. Downloading each attachment into a loose folder makes the later handoff harder. This page describes a future collection path. It does not collect mail today.

Inputs

  • Planned: messages you forward yourself, or a rule you create at your own email provider for selected senders.
  • Not planned for the first version: permission to read an entire mailbox, historical search, or a connection to Gmail or Outlook.
  • Not published, because the channel is not built: which attachment types, what size, and whether body text without a file will be kept. A link in an email is not the same thing as an attached receipt.

Planned process

  1. You would receive a dedicated address for your own workspace.
  2. You would forward selected mail, or set a provider rule. The provider account stays yours.
  3. Supported files would later sit in the same review list as other receipts. That list is not publicly open.

No address is shown on this website. Sending mail to a guessed address will not enroll you.

Output

The intended result is the same spreadsheet-and-originals handoff as the sample, with the source marked as email. The sample files are not email captures. They only show the workbook shape.

Limits

  • Coming soon means not usable. There is no forwarding address.
  • Selective forwarding is not a scan of historical mail.
  • This does not file expenses or decide what is deductible.

If a future message cannot be used

There is no live intake to fail. The intended rule, once the channel exists, is to keep the original message or file and show a visible failure instead of inventing an amount. Setup steps for Gmail or Outlook will be published only after the flow can be repeated. There is no support promise in the meantime.

Example of the boundary

A merchant email that only says “view your receipt” and links to a website has not attached the receipt. Forwarding that message, even after the channel exists, would not by itself produce a source file. For a file you already saved, use the handoff guide and the synthetic sample as the reference shape.

FAQ and privacy

Your everyday inbox stays yours. This page does not ask for an email address. Read what this deployment collects.

What to do next

Read the handoff guide and view the sample. Those work today. Email collection does not.
