Download one fictional October folder: a workbook, two source files, and a readme. No account required. Synthetic example — not real customer data.
Why this file exists
A spreadsheet is hard to trust if you cannot see the receipt behind a row. This sample lets you check that relationship before any product is open. It is not evidence that automatic extraction works, and it is not a customer case study.

How to inspect it
- Download the ZIP and extract the whole folder.
- Open receipts.xlsx in a spreadsheet application.
- Use the original-file link in column M. Keep the receipts folder beside the workbook. Opening the workbook from inside the ZIP, or moving it alone, breaks the link. The application may ask permission before opening a local file.

- sample-coffee-001: The fictional receipt prints tax as 0.00, so the cell is an explicit zero.
- sample-paper-002: The fictional receipt has no tax line. The tax cell is blank, which is not the same as zero.
Both sample rows happen to use USD. Do not add different currencies into one total. The category is an illustrative label, not tax advice. Status and review values are there so the columns are visible. They are not the result of a public processing run.
Limits
- No real merchant, card, or person is represented.
- The workbook has no macros and no external links.
- Downloading it does not create an account or join a list.
If the link does not open
Extract the ZIP first, then open the workbook from the extracted folder. If the spreadsheet application blocks local files, open the PDF from the receipts folder directly. That is a limitation of the desktop application, not a sign that the sample is incomplete.

FAQ and privacy
The file is static. Requesting it does not send your receipts anywhere. A click on the download link is not recorded as a completed download. See data handling for the analytics default.
